Margaret McKerihan established Nine Lives Biography Services in December 2000 because she is passionate about the value of oral history to families and the broader community .

“For many of our senior citizens, being given the opportunity to tell their story is valuable on its own,” Margaret says, “even before they see their own family enjoying the finished book. The whole process is incredibly affirming.”

“There are many obstacles to writing your own life story, and this means that so many members of our community let their life story go untold. Many people just need to be given the chance to tell their story, while somebody else does the hard work, and they grasp the opportunity!”
